Wind Energy Regulations Discussed in Allegany, NY
The Olean Times Herald <Townnews.com > reports that the planning board in Allegany, N.Y. held a town meeting to discuss regulations on wind energy that it would like the town board to pass into law. They discussed setback and noise issues and listened to the thoughts of the community. Currently there is a moratorium in place until July with the option to extend if the town board does not feel satisfied with the amount of research it has on which to base its decision.
