Electric Company Encourages Renewable Energy Proposals
CNNMoney.com reports Dominion, an electric company, has issued a request for proposals to increase renewable energy sources in Virginia and North Carolina. They are looking at sources such as wind energy, solar energy, biomass and waste technologies amongst others. Dominion is encouraging diverse businesses and those run by a minority to submit proposals. The company currently operates using 413 MW of renewable sources to power 100,000 homes - these new goals would assist greatly in obtaining the states’ individual energy goals for the future.
