Negotiations Are Not Complete for U.S. Offshore Wind Project
Cape Gazette reportsDelmarva Power has informed the Public Service Commission that recent negotiations for an offshore wind farm in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware hasn’t resolved issues of price, size, & unfair costs to customers. Widner University Professor, Lawrence Hammermesh is taking a more active role in helping the involved parties resolve their differences. While Bluewater Wind and Delmarva Power were able to come to an agreement on some issues, Delmarva still argues that their Standard Offer Service customers are paying for the majority of the 150 turbine project even though they only use 28% of the states’ electricity.
