The State Government has determined this act is against their grazing leases and has forcibly taken the land back. The property owners’ solicitor says that it is not so much being forced of the land as it is what they could have sold the property for, and the fact it has been their land for generations. Meanwhile, Silverton Village Committee is using a ballot system to gauge villagers’ opinions on a proposed wind farm in the area.
