Community Wind Farms Making Introductions in Michigan
Huron Daily Tribune reports Port Austin, Michigan resident, Ron Belisle, is interested in community owned wind farms. A similiar project underway in Minnesota allows the community to share the wind project’s profits after their return on investment is made, allowing the benefits to stay within the community instead of to out-of-state developers. Mr. Belisle will hold two informational meetings to introduce the concept to the community.
