GMP project approved by Lowell residents
Earth Times reports that Lowell voters have approved 342 to 114 the development of a wind project proposed jointly by Green Mountain Power and Vermont Electric Cooperative. The Kingdom Community Wind project will be located on private land with 20-24 turbines and a combined maximum capacity of 63 megawatts. Studies on wind, environment and others need to be wrapped up before figures are finalized.
